Founder of IDM Music in NY and Croatia, and MD of Bixio Music LTD in Europe and the USA. With over 20 years of international experience in the business, Miriam has helped advance music publishing in the virgin territories of Central Eastern Europe by applying international experience and practice.
In 1987 Miriam joined the Bixio / Cinevox Family in Rome and quickly became well established locally and internationally, by promoting Italian acts on the international market and International releases locally. Her first Pan European hit came during the summer of 1987 with Tony Esposito's ' PAPA CHICO". Many others followed, such as, the top 20 hit with UK's Manic Mc's featuring Sara Carlson, which laid the way for the House / Euro Beat of the late 80ies and early 90ies. Building her career and releasing several number 1 hits in Italy of 24/7 Featuring Captain Hollywood was one the highlights during her Italian era.
In 1993 she established Bixio Music LTD and IDM Music LTD in NYC and became known in the US as the "Italian connection". Here she specialized in the restoration of copyrights of Italian Evergreens that had fallen into PD and became one of the first Synchronization and Sample & Rights clearance expert, at a time when no one was yet interested in granting music for Film & Advertisement and sample usage was still a grey area.
Her recent achievements in the USA include the 2006 ASCAP award for regional Mexican song "Volvere” originally Tornero, Italian top hit) and the usage of Bixio's Ennio Morricone's vault in film and TV and sample usage in the hip hop community.
Her goals for the future are to increase local revenue for International catalogues in the Eastern Europe region and gain recognition of local acts on the international music scene.
