IDM MUSIC AND GEENGER RECORDS PROUDLY PRESENT THE NEW EP OF THE BAND RUIZ
The latest signing to the Geenger Records label, Ruiz, has officially released their EP that was announced last week with the energetic and furious single "You Decide". Reactions were more then positive and the single was just the introduction to the explosion of the EP "Draw The Line Never A Square", available for free download over Geenger Records Bandcamp profile.
On the EP you will find four songs, 15 minutes of music and many more hours you will spend talking with your friends about this edition and expecting the release of the Ruiz's second album "Ruizradiorevolution!".
For everybody that is finding out about Ruiz for the first time, it is a three man rock band that started back in 2006, which combines the esthetics of Kyuss and Nirvana, dance elements of Gang of Four and Rapture, and relentless music playing of At The Drive-In, creating the specific expression that is hard to define. Up till now, they have released in 2009 the first album "Erupt" on Sonic Doom Records label, had over 100 concerts all over Croatia and Europe, and participated as guests on many music festivals.

goblin's suspiria in jane eyre 2011 trailer
The song "Suspiria" by the Italian progressive rock band Goblin was used again in a Hollywood production. This time it served as a background theme for the official trailer of the movie "Jane Eyre", starring Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell and Judi Dench.
The film Jane Eyre, based on the famous novel of the same name by Charlotte Bronte, was released on March 11, 2011 in the United States, and will be released on September 9 in the UK.
The cult theme used in the trailer was originally made for the Italian horror film "Suspiria" (1977) directed by Dario Argento and named the 18th scariest horror ever in the history of the film by the Entertainment Weekly. The theme Suspiria was also named as one of the best songs released between 1977 and 1979 in The Pitchfork 500: Our Guide to the Greatest Songs from Punk to the Present. It has been sampled on the Raekwon and Ghostface Killah song, Legal Coke off of the R.A.G.U. mixtape as well as in the cult television series "Invader Zim", and it has been recently used in an Oscar award trailer for the film "Black Swan". IN MEMORY OF CARLO ANDREA BIXIO, A GREAT MAN AND FRIEND
With great sadness in our hearts we are saying goodbye to our friend and mentor Carlo Andrea Bixio, whose sudden passing away on February 28th, 2011 leaves a big void not only in our hearts but in the International Music Industry and especially the Italian TV & Film scene. As one of the founders of the cult music company Bixio Music Group / Cinevox Records and a key player in the Italian TV scene, his versatility was immense. The sky was his limit!
Carlo Andrea Bixio was born in an artistic family in Milano on December 18th 1941; his father, Cesare Andrea Bixio was the creator of what we know as todays "canzone italiana", or Italian Evergreen. He was the author of the music for the first Italian movie with sound, "Canzone dell' amore" and a creator of the famous song "Parlami d'amore Mariu" and writer of legendary songs such as MAMMA, Torna piccina Mia, Violino Tzigano and many others.
In 1961 Carlo Andrea Bixio entered the music scene like a whirlwind by creating the cult label & publishing company Edizioni Musicali Bixio with which he was awarded numerous gold and platinum records for Sound Tracks and pop hits such as: Djamballa (il dio serpente), Profondo rosso by Goblin, Gamma by Enrico Simonetti, Metti una sera a cena by Morricone, Kalimba de Luna (Tony Esposito), Mi scappa la pipì papà (Pippo Franco), Gomma Gomma (Luca e Manuela), Giù la testa (Ennio Morricone), Mamma (Pavarotti), La notte vola (Lorella Cuccarini), Bolero (Francis Lai) and a dance record: I can stand it“ .
Carlo Bixio has dedicated his entire life to the entertainment industry, starting off by running the Bixio labels to sweeping exclusive deals with Italian Film distributers in the early 70ies, securing Bixio's position as leader in Original Sound Track production and releases, followed by working as a producer of various editions of the San Remo Festival, of the show Disco per l'estate and many others.
In the early 90ies, With his brother Franco in charge of the publishing companies and labels, Carlo dedicated himself completely to the creation of TV series, which sound tracks would be released on the Bixio / Cinevox labels.
His PUBLISPEI Company is responsible for some of the hottest series in the history of Italian television. He brought to Italian TV screens the cult series "Un medico in famiglia", produced "I Cesaroni" for the Canale 5: another cult title of the Italian commercial television (which 5th season is in the state of its creation) as well as the TV series "Tutti pazzi per amore" and the mini-series "Sissi".
