For the past few years, the Croatian coast is becoming more and more the fertile ground for several high quality British festivals of underground electronic music.
After Garden and Soudwave, this summer Croatia will also host the Europe's largest bass culture & dubstep festival Outlook. The festival will take place in the town of Pula from 2nd to 5th september and this year's tickets are already sold out.

The line up for both The Soundwave and Outlook festivals in Croatia are great examples of Westbury’s ability to combine the best in modern contemporary and established artists.  Both events are in their decisive second year and had a successful debut despite.  Soundwave in July featured one of the hardest working international Hip-Hop artists Dj Vadim, playing, one of his legendary Dj sets. The line up also included Dam Funk plus two of Westbury’s newest signings Alexander Nut representing Eglo Records and Blue Daisy from the Black Acre camp.
The Outlook Festival at the tail end of the season in September is a dub and bass culture extravaganza feature live performances by the Mad Professor, Macka B (Ariwa) and the Iration Steppas bring the real dub and roots foundation for all the revellers connecting the dots.


BLACK EYED PEAS broke the record with 6 million song downloads

The song "I Gotta Feeling" by the Cherry Lane's top-artist Black Eyed Peas has been downloaded more than 6 million times in the US.
The track, produced by a group member Will.i.am and french house DJ David Guetta and originally released in June last year, has become the most popular download in US chart history.
Interscope Geffen A&M adds that total digital single sales from the band's album The E. N. D. now stand at 18m while the album itself has sold 7.33m copies physically and digitally.

Harold Perrineau in an interview with Croatian daily – Večernji list, thanked his Croatian friends with whom he is collaborating on his debut 'Seeker'. Talented actor, known for her roles in hit series 'Lost' and 'Oz', the 'Matrix' saga and box office hit 'Romeo Juliet', said that his ‘Croatian music link’ started with making the most out of an ugly situation. He met the main 'culprit' for the album, Tomo in der Mühlen in New York on September 11. Their children attended the same school, located next to the WTC and since than, the two families became great friends.

'In fact, Tomo and I were just playing around with music. It was something we did for fun while hanging out, but afterwards, when we listened to the songs, it became clear that we should record an album’, says Harold. Besides Tomo, many other internationally known Croatian musicians and producers collaborate on the album: Baby Dooks, Koolade, Dash, Zvonimir Dusper Dus, Tin Ostreš... Jadakiss, Kurtis Blow, and Vernon Reid will also guest on the album, so keep your ears opened in the coming months.

Harold did not neglect his acting career. Coming soon to theaters is his latest work, a film by Roger Donaldson and produced by Tobey Maguire. In ‘The Hungry Rabbit Jumps’ Harold will start next to Nicholas Cage and Guy Pearce. It seems Harold will be a success in the world of music, and who knows, maybe we’ll see him soon in a musical!

At this year's Belgrade Beer Fest, the largest and richest beer festival in the region, the Belgrade audience will enjoy the performance, the first in 25 years, of the Croatian group Aerodrom (The Airport), led by singer and guitarist Jurica Pađen.

Aerodrom is among the most popular '80s rock bands in the former Yugoslavia. This year they will share the stage with big names of the regional rock scene such as: Partibrejkers, Kiril Dzajkovski, Riblja Čorba, Bajaga i Instruktori, Pankrti, Siddharta, YU grupa, Skroz, Neno Belan and Van Gogh. These performers will definitely enrich the musical content of the Belgrade beer festival and the experience of an average 100 000 visitors per day. The five-day musical - gourmet event will run from August 18 to 22, with more than 350 musical performances and tasting of over than 70 beer brands. We should mention that the entrance is free of charge!

Aerodrom, most known for its hits for hits such as ‘Stavi pravu stvar na pravo mjesto’, ‘Fratello’, ‘Digni me visoko’ and ‘Što si u kavu stavila’, will be playing on Thursday, August 19, 9:15pm and, since Belgrade has had to wait a quarter century for their concerts, a great time and a good atmosphere are guaranteed!
