Tamara Obrovac's New Project "Istriaireland"

IDM’s domestic ethno star Tamara Obrovac has started a new project titled “IstraIrska” (“IstriaIreland”) in which she gathered an ensemble of Croatian, Irish and Slovenian musicians with a repertoire of their original works, but also remixes of Croatian, Slovenian and Irish compositions.

The ensemble “IstriaIrska” already played several concerts in Ireland and this Valentine’s Day Sunday, they debuted in Croatia with a concert held at the Istrian National Theatre in Pula.
In the meantime, the project continues to develop - compositions and recordings will be fixed on sound carriers – and the ensemble will continue touring Croatia, Ireland as well as other countries.

Singer, composer and lyrics writer Tamara Obrovac is one of the most meaningful figures on the Croatian music scene which she has enriched tremendously through her musical expressions in which she combines Istrian traditional music and dialect with her own style full of improvisation, humor and freedom.
In addition to her concert appearances, Tamara composes music for ballet, theatre and movies, for which she has received multiple awards.
Her discography to date contains 6 albums. In the past few years Tamara has gained significant recognition on the global music scene with the nominations for the World Music Awards 2004.

A NEW GREAT ARTIST IN IDM’S CATALOGUE

IDM Music is proud to announce the signing of the legendary Macedonian musician Nikola (Kokan) Dimusevski, the co-founder of the cult ex-Yu fusion band “Leb i Sol” (Bread and salt). Dimusevski and IDM have penned a deal for worldwide administration of Dimusevski’s entire catalogue.

Nikola Dimusevski is, as he likes to put it, a born pianist turned keyboardist, creating original, electronically synthesized music that sounds acoustic.

Combining single-voice and polyphonic synthesizers to weave a fabric of almost orchestral richness, his music readily embraces the tonal and even and combines it with what is perceived as conventionally “beautiful”, creating a truly unique sound.

In many respects Dimusevski and IDM Music, in their unconventionally, present a perfect match. We’ re off to work!
