Once again the BRIT Awards on February 19th was an fun and memorable night. Great performances plus funny moments. This year One Direction and Artic Monkeys took home most of the awards. James Corden was the lucky one who got to present.

Jake Bugg, James Blake, John Newman and Tom Odell were nominated for the British Male Solo Artist award which was presented by Noel Gallagher, but the amazing David Bowie was the one who won the price, but unfortunately wasn’t there so Kate Moss collected it for him. The award for the British Female Solo Artist award presented by the one and only Prince went to Ellie Goulding, even though she had quit the competition ( Birdy, Jessie J, Laura Marling and Laura Mvula). Artic Monkeys went up against Bastille, Disclosure, One Direction and Rudimental and won the award for the British Group which was presented by Lily Allen. Cese Fabregas and Nicole Scherzinger presented the award for the International Group, Arcade Fire, Haim, Kings of Leon and Macklemore & Lewis were nominated but Daft Punk won. Looks like Daft Punk really had a good year taking home so many different awards, they’ve been having a lot of lucky nights. Disclosure, Laura Mvula, London Grammar and Tom Odell were nominated for the British Breakthrough Act which was presented by Tinie Tempah and Fearne Cotton, but Bastille was the winner. Sam Smith was awarded for the Critics Choice. Artic Monkeys got another award for the MasterCard British Album of the Year presented by Emeli Sande, their competition was Bastille with Bad Blood, David Bowie with The Next Day, Disclosure with Settle and Rudimental with Home. Katy Perry got to present the British Single of the Year, and the lucky winner was Rudimental featuring Ella Eyra with Waiting All Night. Pharrell Williams and Kylie Minogue presented the International Male Solo Artist which was Bruno Mars who went up against Drake, Eminem, John Grant and Justin Timberlake. It wasn’t enough for Lorde to win two awards at the Grammy Ceremony she also took home with here the award for the International Female Solo Artist at the BRITs awards, it wasn’t too easy though she had Janelle Monae, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Pink as her competition, Nick Grimshaw was the one who got to give her the award. Flood and Alan Moulder won the British Producer of the Year award. Jimmy Carr presented the winner of the British Video award which went to One Direction with Best Song Ever. The cherry on top, which probably made a lot of girls happy is seeing One Direction take home the award for BRITs Global Success presented by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

What a night huh?

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards were filled with some of the best in the musical business. The show, which has some outlandish performances, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Daft Punk, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and more. We laughed, we cried, we tweeted.

Here were some of the highlights of the 2014 Grammy Awards:

Daft Punk took home a great amount of Grammy Awards. They hit the stage with their winning hit “Get Lucky” featuring Pharrell and Nile Rodgers. Get Lucky won the award for Record Of The Year, as well as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Daft Punk also brought home the awards for Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical). No doubt about it that Daft Punk which we represent through EMI Music Publishing/ SONY ATV had a great success in 2013 and defiantly deserved this big win! Talking about great success Pharrell Williams took home the award for Producer of the year (Non-Classical)! After all the amazing work he has done in 2013 it was no surprise when he was awarded! He produced BBC with Jay Z, Blurred Lines with Robin Thicke featuring T.I., Happy, I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel) with Jennifer Hudson featuring T.I., Nuclear with Destiny’s Child, Oceans with Jay Z featuring Frank Ocean, and both songs The Stars Are Ours and Reach Out Richard with Mayer Hawthorne. Pharrell definitly had a busy year…

Of course Macklemore & Ryan Lewis didn’t do so bad winning the award for Best New Artists! Representing them through Kobalt Music Group LIM was an honor! Seeing them take home awards for Best Rap Performance with “Thrift Shop” and The Best Rap Album with “The Heist” was pretty fun.

Lorde, Bruno Mars, Zedd featuring Foxes, Black Sabbath, Paul McCartney with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, Vampire Weekend, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Jay Z featuring Justin Timberlake, Adele, Thomas Newman, also got t stand up the stage receiving Grammy Awards. Lorde won with “Royals” Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Bruno Mars with his album “Unorthodox Jukebox” won the Best Pop Vocal Album. Zedd featuring Foxes took home the award for Best Dance Recording with “Clarity”. God Is Dead? by Black Sabbath won Best Metal Performance. Paul McCartney, Dave Gorhl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear won Bes Rock Song with “Cut Me Some Slack”. Vampire Weekend won Best Alternative Music Album with “Modern Vampires of The City”. Unapologetic by Rihanna won Best Urban Contemporary Album when Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys won Best R&B Album. Holy Grail by Jay Z featuring Justin Timberlake won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Skyfall song by Adele and composed By Thomas Newman was awarded for Bes Score Soundtrack For Visual Media and Best Song Written For Visual Media.

What did you guys think about the big wins this year? Personally I think that the awards were well deserved!

Anyone excited for the 2014 Grammy awards? This year a lot of artists which we represent are nominated. We have Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who are going up against Kendrick Lamar, Lorde with “Royals” is going up against Katy Perry for best song, and of course we have really big 2013 hits like “Blurred Lines” going up against another big 2013 hit “Get Lucky” which is all represented by us. We represent them through BMG Rights Management, EMI Music Publishing, Kobalt Music Group LIM(which has many nominated songs), etc.

The 56th annual Grammy Awards Ceremony 2014 will be streamed live January 26th at 1 P.M. There are so many talented stars being nominated this year that it is going to be hard to decide who is the best.

You can all “Bow down” because Beyoncé and Jay Z are bringing the royal family to the 2014 Grammy Awards. The powerful duo confirmed their appearance in a commercial for the awards telecast, according to Billboard.com. The ad also revealed Grammy-nominated superstars Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis taking the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles next weekend, along with Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, Daft Punk and Paul McCartney.
Besides hitting up the Grammy stage Jay Z is up for some Grammy gold. His 2013 album “Magna Carta. … Holy Grail” earned nine nominations, including Best Rap Album.

Who do you think will be taking home the most Grammys?
